Vice President of Product Management


As VP of Product Management, James is accountable for adoption and growth of SM across the UK and Canada.  His team uses design thinking and customer centric approaches to develop the product roadmap and approach to customer success.


James joined Thesis from the University of Nottingham where he oversaw the largest and most ambitious Digital Transformation in the UK and worked across the UK, Malaysia and China to deliver best in class student and staff outcomes. He spent 7 years in leadership roles across Student Recruitment, Marketing and IT delivering a new operating model for University digital products

Prior to this James worked for over a decade to deliver product and digital strategies for some of the largest companies in the world including Bentley Motors, Monzo Bank, Boots and Adidas. 

James also chairs the Higher Education Roundtable group which is the first knowledge exchange programm specifically set up for CIO's, CDO's and other Education experts interested in Digital Transformation.

James has a passion for higher education with a particular interest in widening participation at University. James has been a mentor for Widening participation since his own University days and also sits on the Widening Participation Government committee.
